The show has one building with Commercial and Flea Market style vendors. It is Saturday ONLY from 8:30am to 4pm for attendees. No need to worry about rain or inclement weather, the entire show will be indoors, the building will also be heated if necessary. Food will be available for purchase.

There is free parking available in the Midway of the Fairgrounds and limited handicapped parking. HANDICAPPED PARKING IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! No additional spaces will be reserved. THERE IS NO PARKING IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE BUILDING.

Door prizes will be given throughout the day and you must be present to win. DXCC, WAS and VUCC card checking will be available from 10 am to 12 pm. Free Amateur Radio Exams (also commonly called VE Exams) will be held at 9:00 am. on the fairgrounds property. Look for notices inside the main entrance of the Hamboree for the exact exam testing location.

1. Where does the show take place?
The show is located in the spacious Cow Palace on the north end of the Maryland State Fairgrounds (2200 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093). This is the building closest to the Timonium Light Rail Stop.

2. What are the dates and hours of the show?
The show will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 8:30am to 4pm.

3. How do I get my amateur radio license? We offer free, on-site amateur radio license exams at 9:00 am., the day of the event. Specific location instructions will be posted inside the Main Entrance to the hall. You must bring a photo ID. Note, Morse Code proficiency was dropped from licensing requrements many years ago. For a heads-up on licensing exams visit BARC VE Team. Visit the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) or your public library for study materials. If upgrading, bring your current amateur radio license and a photocopy of that license.

4. Does the show have a tailgate section?
YES! We have a large indoor tailgate section located in the south end of the building. Motorized vehicles are not allowed inside the bullding during the show hours.

5. Can you camp at the Maryland State Fairgrounds on Friday night?
The GBH&C does not administer or sell camping space. There are some spaces that have camping hookups accessible along the racetack in the main parking area. There are also some spaces with hookups near the swine barn. They are managed by the fairgrounds security. There is no way to reserve a camping space and the fairgrounds operators have the right to charge for camping and the use of the hookups. Arrangements must be made through the fairgrounds.

6. Can vendors stay in the building overnight? 
No, no one will be allowed to spend the night in the building. It will be secured at 11:59 pm, Friday, April 4, 2014 and reopen at 4:30 am, Saturday, April 5, 2014. Overnight the building will be monitored by security personnel. Motorized vehicles are not allowed inside the bullding during the show hours.

7. Will the show be held in case of rain or inclement weather?
The show will be held rain or shine and is completely indoors. Motorized vehicles are not allowed inside the bullding during the show hours.

8. I need a hotel, do you have a recommendation?
Yes! For many years we have worked out a special rate with the Crowne Plaza Hotel located minutes from the Fairgrounds 2004 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, MD 21093. Please contact the hotel directly at 410-252-7373, during regular business hours. In years prior the rate has been $99 a night with a reservation prior to March 1st.
