DXCC Card Checking Saturday only , 9 AM to 1 PM   (See below for WAS and VUCC)

1) It is preferred that applicants download and print out the necessary forms, and have them filled in properly, before arriving to have their cards checked. The forms can be found at http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc/ on the right-hand side of the page. However we will have extra forms with us just in case.

2) We would rather not have people pay the fees in cash since it invites errors in record-keeping. A personal check made out to "ARRL" or use of a credit card number in the proper place on the form are the preferred payment methods. The amount on the check should be left blank until the applicant arrives to have his/her cards checked, at which point we will calculate the fees required for them.

3) Applicants should bring a business-sized SASE with a 60-cent stamp affixed to it, addressed to ARRL. They should NOT put their return address on this envelope, however, because I am the one required to mail it in. The completed application will be mailed to ARRL in this envelope.

4) There is no limit to the number of cards we will check. However, applicants with a large number of cards to be checked (over 200) may be told to leave their cards with us and return later in the day to retrieve them if there are several people with smaller numbers of cards to be checked behind them in the line.

5) As field checkers we can NOT check cards more than 10 calendar years old or cards confirming contacts on the 160 meter band. These have to be checked by ARRL HQ staff themselves. So applicants should check to make sure that all cards they plan to submit to us are confirming QSOs made in 1995 or later, and do not include any cards for 160 meter contacts.
